Job summary

Am Law 100 law firm in San Francisco/Northern California seeks an Environmental/Toxic Tort Attorney with 3–8 years of substantive litigation experience. Remote or hybrid options available.

You will handle high-stakes environmental and toxic tort matters, participate in depositions, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy, and interact directly with major national and international clients. Legal background in environmental litigation, CERCLA/RCRA, and related areas is essential;

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of substantive litigation experience required.
• Experience taking depositions and/or arguing motions in court.
• Background in environmental litigation, toxic tort, CERCLA, RCRA, silica, talc, asbestos, nuisance and trespass, products liability, or complex litigation.
• Cannabis-related litigation experience a plus.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to handle cases with limited supervision.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Active California Bar admission required.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $100,000--$275,000 depending on level and experience

Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking experienced Environmental / Toxic Tort Attorneys to join its Northern California practice. This opportunity offers sophisticated, high-stakes litigation involving complex scientific and environmental issues, with significant opportunities for depositions, motion practice, courtroom experience, and direct client interaction.

What You'll Work On:

• Handle complex environmental and toxic tort litigation involving sophisticated scientific and technical issues
• Take and defend depositions and argue substantive motions in court
• Manage matters involving CERCLA and RCRA claims
• Handle silica, talc, asbestos, and other toxic exposure litigation
• Work on nuisance, trespass, products liability, and other complex tort matters
• Develop case strategy, conduct discovery, and prepare matters for hearings and trial

What We're Looking For:
