Job summary

APTIM is seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Project Manager to join our team of engineers, scientists, and technicians dedicated to solving environmental concerns. This hands-on PM will drive scope development, planning, oversight, and client communications through Phase I/II assessments.

The role covers budgeting (from $500K+), mentoring staff, and ensuring safe, profitable project execution across multiple states with up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Project Management, Environmental Engineering, or other science field required.
• 10–20 years of experience in project execution/management in environmental industry.
• Strong organizational and tracking skills to manage 30+ projects over long periods.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to work in a team environment; safety-conscious and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental projects across multiple states and manage budgets from $500K+.
• Oversee proposals, execution, and invoicing with clients and vendors.
• Mentor junior staff and enforce health and safety policies.
• Coordinate project scopes, schedules, and client communications.
• Provide technical support across phases including due diligence and remediation design.
• Travel 10–20% of the time.
