Responsibilities

• Provides advice and guidance to bureaus on NEPA compliance.
• Reviews and coordinates environmental compliance issues across bureaus.
• Represents the Department on regional committees and task forces.
• Serves as regional lead for protection of natural and cultural resources during emergencies.
• Participates in Regional Response Teams for oil discharges and hazardous substances.
