Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Junior Field Technician to support emergency response and environmental projects. This fast-paced, on-demand role offers flexible/remote work and opportunities for extensive travel across the country.

You will perform air monitoring, environmental sampling, moisture mapping, and site safety tasks, with documentation using our in-house tech. Training pay and overtime potential are available; requires high school diploma and Windows literacy.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Windows-based computer literacy required.
Experience in emergency response or environmental response desirable.
Experience with air sampling equipment desirable.
Experience with industrial hygiene equipment desirable.
Ability to understand and follow directions.

Responsibilities

Support emergency response, environmental response, disaster recovery, industrial hygiene, toxicology, risk assessment, and infectious disease projects.
Maintain availability for emergency response and extended travel, up to 30 days at a time.
Manage high workloads in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Work extended hours, including overtime, weekends, and some 24-hour shifts as required.
Operate monitoring instruments and record measurements.
Prepare chain-of-custody documentation for environmental samples.
