Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Junior Field Technician for part-time, flexible/remote work. The role involves air monitoring, environmental sampling, and site safety with nationwide travel and potential extended on-call assignments.

The position offers hands-on experience in environmental projects, working with our Operations team to ensure timely response and accurate documentation using our internal tools. A high school diploma and Windows proficiency are required; military or industrial hygiene

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient with Windows-based software.
• Experience in the armed forces desirable.
• Experience with industrial hygiene equipment desirable.
• Experience using air and environmental sampling equipment desirable.
• Experience in emergency or environmental response desirable.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Support emergency response, environmental response, disaster recovery, and related projects.
• Maintain readiness for emergency response and up to 30 days of travel.
• Manage high workloads in a fast-paced environment.
• Work extended hours including overtime and weekends.
• Operate monitoring instruments and record measurements.
• Prepare chain-of-custody documentation for samples.
