Job summary

EFI Global is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to perform environmental project oversight, air monitoring, and building surveys for asbestos-containing materials, lead paint, mold and other hazards, providing technical oversight and assessments. This is a hybrid/remote role, preferred to be based in the greater Boston area or Hartford, CT, with travel across local or regional projects.

The team works with scientists, senior field technicians and forensic experts on environmental health

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred in Environmental Science, Microbiology, Industrial Hygiene, or related science.
• Current professional certifications and licensure for respective state with valid driver’s license; AHERA/CIE/CRMI or equivalent preferred.
• High school diploma and two years of experience or equivalent combination required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental inspections and sampling for microbial, lead, asbestos, and industrial hygiene.
• Prepare chain of custody forms and record survey data.
• Document and billable hours for external clients.
• Gather notes, photos, and temperature/humidity/moisture measurements.
• Develop and maintain client relationships; promote services within assigned territory.
