Job summary

Tetra Tech - Whitehouse Station, NJ is seeking an Environmental Field Technician for a full-time remote field role. You will collect environmental samples, support O&M of remediation systems, and record data across New Jersey and New York facilities.

The position requires working both independently and with teams, lifting up to 50 lbs, and travel as needed. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with 1 year of experience; preferred AS/BS in environmental science and HAZWOPER certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1 year of general working experience required.
• Preferred AS/BS in environmental science; OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER preferred with refresher.
• Ability to learn and operate environmental monitoring equipment and field instruments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform office, testing, or field assignments largely independently.
• Operate field and construction equipment; conduct field monitoring and analyses.
• Perform maintenance and O&M activities for remediation systems and CAD/GIS tasks.
