Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company, is seeking Texas-certified teachers to deliver online 1-on-1 tutoring through our Live Learning Platform. Work remotely, set your own schedule, and earn competitive pay up to $40/hour while helping K-12 students meet TEKS standards.

Candidates must hold an active Texas teaching certificate, bring classroom experience, adapt instruction to student needs, and communicate clearly. You’ll get matched with students and be supported by our Tutor Copilot AI tools.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Teaching Certificate (TEA) required and must be verifiable during application.
• Deep knowledge in your certified subject area with ability to connect K-12 concepts to student needs.
• Demonstrated classroom teaching experience in a Texas setting with TEKS understanding.
• Skilled at diagnosing gaps, adjusting pacing, and explaining concepts through multiple methods.
• Clear, engaging communication and an approachable teaching style.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students.
• Tutor remotely using Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions and manage your own schedule.
