Job summary

Leidos is seeking motivated engineering students for the Summer 2027 Internship Program as an Engineering Projects Intern. The role is 100% remote with a focus on U.S.

Eastern time zones, offering hands-on experience in project management on the DIET engineering team under the Defense Enclave Services contract. You will rotate through engineering support duties, assist with change requests, CDRLs, and Jira task management, and collaborate with SME teams to deliver engineering projects from

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program from an accredited college/university.
• A strong interest in project management, systems engineering, or computer science with familiarity using Microsoft tools such as SharePoint, Excel, Teams, or the Power Platform.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support project manager in Engineering project management efforts across multiple engineering projects.
• Assist with change requests and maintenance window planning across engineering projects.
• Assist with network POC coordination.
• Provide Jira task management support to the project manager.
• Assist the SME teams with Contract Deliverables (CDRLs) preparation and uploads.
• Organize and triage issues for the SME teams.
• Assist with the coordination and communication for engineering testing activities.
• Rotate through engineering support duties to fully understand the phases of design, test, migration, and operations.
