Job summary

Givebutter is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a full-stack team and ship world-class fundraising features for nonprofits. You will mentor engineers, contribute to architecture, and ensure reliable, scalable performance while sustaining a culture of high-quality delivery.

You’ll report to the VP of Engineering and help shape the product vision, balancing technical excellence with rapid iteration. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, code involvement, and collaboration across product

Qualifications

• 7+ years of frontend development experience with modern web technologies (React, React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP/Laravel).
• At least 2+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ engineers.
• Hands-on experience designing and building scalable, customer-facing software.
• Proven leadership, mentorship, and clear communication.
• Experience hiring and developing remote engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the VP of Engineering to develop and execute the frontend engineering strategy.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of full stack engineers, delivering high-quality user experiences.
• Own the frontend function, setting technical direction and ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Evolve Givebutter’s software architecture and stack for growth.
• Improve internal engineering workflows and best practices.
