Job summary

Honeycomb.io, a fully distributed company, seeks a leader to shape engineering enablement and developer experience across the org. You’ll own feedback loops, drive AI-assisted development, and define ROI metrics to prove impact.

You’ll grow the team, mentor engineers, and collaborate with internal platform teams while navigating a remote-first culture with autonomy and accountability. Base salary ranges $208,260–$234,000 USD, with generous equity and unlimited PTO, reflecting our values of trust

Qualifications

• Sustained multi-year leadership of an engineering enablement or developer-experience team.
• Proven ability to define and track developer-productivity metrics (ROI).
• Experience guiding AI-assisted engineering initiatives and tooling.
• Familiarity with observability concepts and OpenTelemetry is a plus.
• Experience running internal platforms/tools as a product for internal engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the developer feedback loops (CI/CD, testing, dependencies, tooling).
• Lead AI-partnered development and incubate AI-driven workflows.
• Define and track ROI metrics to demonstrate team impact to leadership.
• Lead change across the organization and mentor team members.
• Grow the team and support career development and feedback cycles.
