Job summary

Ciena Corporation is seeking an Endpoint Security Engineer to design and enforce security configurations across Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints. You will manage EDR, firewalls, and related controls while aligning with CIS benchmarks, NIST guidance, Zero Trust, and least privilege principles.

The role requires 4+ years of security experience, US citizenship, and the ability to work across distributed teams, with a focus on reducing risk and improving security posture.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in cybersecurity or endpoint/server security.
• US Citizenship required.
• Experience with EDR, host-based firewall, SIEM, and baseline tools.
• Familiarity with CIS Benchmarks, NIST, Zero Trust and least privilege principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement endpoint/server security configurations.
• Administer and maintain endpoint security platforms including EDR and host-based firewalls.
• Analyze logs in SIEM to identify risks, trends, gaps, improvements.
• Coordinate investigations with vendor support teams for security tools.
• Track security controls and implementation status.
