Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a Litigation Associate in California with 3+ years of insurance defense experience, preferably in employment defense. The role offers hybrid/remote flexibility, active CA Bar license, and a fast-growing environment focused on innovative defense strategies.

You will develop case strategies, manage court appearances, and collaborate with a nationwide team while mentoring junior attorneys.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school required.
• Active California Bar license required.
• 3–7 years of solid litigation experience incl. trial prep.
• 2+ years employment defense experience preferred.
• Ability to manage full caseload from discovery through trial.
• Familiar with litigation timekeeping and billing systems.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities
