Job summary

BILL is seeking a Sr. SOX Manager to lead the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance program and strengthen ICFR.

You will partner with business process and ITAC owners to design, test, and document controls, driving continual improvement and automation in a fast-growth environment. The ideal candidate has a public accounting background with hands-on SOX/ICFR experience, proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite), and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive Big 4 public accounting or similar in SOX 404 audits and ICFR for large accelerated filers.
• Fintech or technology sector experience is a major plus.
• CPA or CIA preferred; CISA is a plus.
• Deep understanding of SOX 404, COSO, and PCAOB standards.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• SOX program management and execution across business processes and ITAC.
• Coordinate audits with management, control owners, Internal Audit, and External Auditors.
• Identify deficiencies and drive remediation plans with owners.
• Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and automation.
• Engage stakeholders and provide guidance on control responsibilities.
• Assess SOX impact of new financial systems and changes; support policy alignment.
• Prepare status updates and remediation progress reports for management.
• Manage audit timelines and external auditors as needed.
• Maintain consistent documentation and evidence collection throughout the cycle.
