Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Director, Full-stack Engineer (Remote-Eligible) to lead multiple high-performing teams within the Global Payment Network. You will set technical strategy, drive architecture standards, and align product roadmaps with scalable technology capabilities.

You will mentor engineering leaders, recruit top talent, and champion inclusive, data-driven delivery across cloud-based payment systems, fraud and risk mitigation, and real-time processing at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
• At least 7 years of people management experience
• At least 9 years of software engineering and solution architecture experience
• At least 9 years of enterprise architecture and design patterns experience
• At least 9 years of cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• At least 9 years of Data architecture experience

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product focused software engineers
• Shape long-term technical strategy and architecture standards for enterprise platforms
• Partner with senior engineering and business leaders to align roadmaps with scalable capabilities
• Drive talent strategy and equitable opportunity across engineering teams
• Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers on your team
• Collaborate with product managers to define capabilities and customer experiences
• Improve software engineering practices across Agile teams
• Ensure deployment of scalable, available and secure cloud-based solutions
• Stay current with tech trends and mentor others in AI-enabled practices
• Foster innovation, inclusion and cross-team collaboration
• Drive velocity improvements across the organization
• Lead deployment of applications into AWS environments
