Job summary

Citrus College is seeking a Performing Arts Shop Coordinator to manage scenery construction, shop operations, and usage of the performing arts facilities by students and staff. You will ensure safety, inventory, and timely completion of productions.

The role requires three years of technical theater experience, CAD drafting skills (AutoCAD/Vectorworks), and the ability to train student crews while maintaining a well-organized shop environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of technical theater experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, ground plans, and scenic elevations.
• Proficiency with CAD or similar software such as AutoCAD, Vectorworks for drafting and plotting builds.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate scenery construction with faculty and designers to determine needs, materials, budgets, timing, and crew requirements.
• Draw construction prints using computer-aided/manual drafting; prepare material lists and inventory searches.
• Construct scenery and sets; perform carpentry, painting, and assembly duties.
