Job summary

Qualifications

  • Nine years of experience and/or education equivalent in environmental mandates.
  • Experience reviewing/regulatory documents, developing/overseeing technical procedures, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and applying environmental laws and regulations.
  • Education in environmental, physical, or natural sciences or related duties.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee development, review, and compliance of the 242‑A Evaporator permit to meet state and federal requirements.
  • Review technical documents and data to shape regulatory strategies and permit conditions.
  • Negotiate permit requirements and cleanup conditions with DOE, EPA and other agencies.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of engineers and chemists for technical reviews and compliance.
  • Conduct site visits to verify permit compliance and environmental regulations.
  • Provide regulatory testimony and public-facing information as needed.
