Job summary

BakerRipley seeks a Home Visitor for its home-based program in Houston. You will educate, provide case management, and advocate for families, serving a caseload and coordinating services through home visits and socialization activities.

The role involves working with pregnant women and children birth to five, linking to prenatal/postpartum care, and promoting parent involvement in curriculum planning and community groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; CDA required.
• Associate's Degree in Child Development/Education/Social Science or related field preferred.
• Early Head Start Home Visitor – CDA required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 1-3 years of experience working with children and families in human services.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate, home-based program for infants to age five and their families.
• Conduct weekly 90-minute home visits to young children and families.
• Facilitate group socialization experiences twice a month.
• Provide families with activities to enhance cognitive, social-emotional, motor, and language development.
• Assist pregnant women to access prenatal and postpartum care via referrals.
