Job summary

Lockheed Martin is a junior Cyber Systems Security Engineer role within Enterprise Operations supporting the LM Space Information Security Office. This position emphasizes threat analysis, security requirements, and implementing protective designs across hardware and software.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, system certification planning, and coordination with architects and developers to validate and verify cyber solutions throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in Information Assurance and security engineering principles (application security, security testing, computer security).
• Familiarity with the 7-layer OSI model and network security controls.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and cloud security (AWS).
• Experience with firewalls, proxies, and encryption techniques.
• Understanding of IAM, PKI, and authentication concepts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat analysis and modeling to identify security risks.
• Define security requirements and assess design adequacy across hardware, software, and networks.
• Perform security testing, certification planning, and risk remediation.
• Collaborate with cyber and system architects to design and implement secure solutions.
• Support secure systems operations and maintain accreditation activities.
