Job summary

IonQ, Inc. in College Park, MD is seeking a Corporate Staff Accountant to join the US Accounting Team. You will prepare month-end close journal entries, reconcile accounts, and partner with Payroll and Equity teams on RSU transactions.

The role blends detailed financial work with cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a hybrid work model with a few remote days, based in College Park, MD.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1–3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and organizational and presentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multitask projects.
• High competency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Journal Entry Preparation: post monthly entries incl. payroll accruals for US and international entities.
• General Ledger Maintenance: reconcile monthly activity for Fixed Assets, Prepaids, and accruals to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Vendor Management & Accruals: estimate unbilled expenses and accrue monthly liabilities.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: coordinate with Payroll and Equity teams for RSU and stock-based transactions.
• Daily Cash Management & Reconciliations: code cash and reconcile bank activity in NetSuite ERP.
• Audit & Compliance: support year-end audit and maintain internal control documentation.
