Qualifications

• Proficiency using on-line research tools such as Westlaw, the Internet, and various other resources.
• Ability to apply research and analysis techniques to conflicts.
• Ability to initiate and follow through on time-sensitive assignments with minimal supervision.
• Business writing skills in formal English for routine information.
• Strong verbal communication and coordination with attorneys and staff.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and disseminates lateral conflicts information and completes due diligence.
• Creates, reviews, and analyzes conflict of interest reports for lateral candidates and related matters.
• Reviews questionnaires, client/matter lists, and related party information to clarify parties and potential concerns.
• Tracks waivers, consents, engagement letters, and screen requirements.
• Monitors pending lateral conflicts requests and advances them through the review process.
• Maintains and updates conflicts databases and records to ensure accuracy.
• Supports attorneys regarding ethical walls and confidentiality screens.
• Conducts research using Lexis and public records to verify parties and identify entities.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
