Job summary

Bayer is seeking a CMC Statistician for Berkeley, CA to perform advanced statistical analyses and data mining on biotech data. You will develop experimental designs, sampling techniques, and analytical methods, querying large biotech datasets while cleaning and validating data for modeling.

Requires Ph.D. in Statistics/Applied Math or related field with 1 year Python/R ML experience; Master’s with 3 years accepted.

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics or closely related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• PhD holders with 1 year Python and R experience may apply; master’s with 3 years also considered.
• Experience designing and delivering statistical models and ML algorithms in biotech.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced statistical analyses and data mining on biotech data.
• Develop and test experimental designs, sampling techniques, and analytical methods.
• Query large structured and unstructured biological data from multiple sources.
• Clean and validate data to ensure accuracy and uniformity for analysis.
• Develop models to simulate biologic processes, functions and behavior.
• Report results and provide recommendations for process control and optimization.
