Job summary

Duke Primary Care in Knightdale, NC is hiring a Clinical Dietitian to deliver comprehensive nutritional care for diverse patient populations. The role emphasizes diabetes education, nutrition counseling, and evidence-based practices within a population health framework.

The position offers a full-time schedule, three days in office and two remote, with eligibility for a $5,000 commitment bonus. Growth opportunities exist through the clinical ladder across Duke Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or comparable major.
• Successful completion of a coordinated program or dietetic internship of not less than 900 hours under the supervision of an RD.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of nutrition care including nutrition assessment, care planning, monitoring, education and counseling of patients.
• Perform duties in support of and in compliance with performance improvement plans, JCAHO, and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies.
• Provide age-specific nutrition counseling and develop educational materials to meet patient needs.
• Write orders for nutrition care per hospital policy and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
