UW–Madison Division of Information Technology (DoIT) seeks an AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, operate, and improve cloud and hybrid AI platforms. This role manages multi-cloud infrastructure, automation, security, observability, and governance to enable reliable, scalable AI-enabled services across UW‑Madison and affiliated teams.

Competenze

• Experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting production software using Python, Go, Rust, or other modern languages.
• Provision cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or GCP and IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Implement and operate CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices in production environments.

Mansioni

• Lead the design, deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of hybrid AI platforms supporting and integrating AI-enabled services.
• Architect, design and maintain secure traditional and AI infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines for automation and deployment processes that enable reliable and scalable service delivery.
• Implement and support observability, monitoring, troubleshooting, logging, performance optimization, and operational practices that ensure platform reliability, security, and availability.
• Establish and maintain platform standards, governance controls, and operational best practices for hosted applications and services.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, security and network teams, and business stakeholders to support onboarding, deployment, and operation of AI applications on the Cloud AI platform.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies that improve platform capabilities, operational efficiency, security, and developer experience.
