Job summary

Cable Protect North America, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support preconstruction coordination and during construction activities for utility-scale renewable energy projects.

The role can be fully remote or hybrid, with regular in-office or field presence in Northern CA, and travel may be required. You will assist procurement and engineering teams with BOMs, RFQs, submittals, and documentation, while ensuring schedules and budgets are met.

Qualifications

• 1 year of project coordination/management experience preferred.
• 1 year of construction experience preferred.
• Proficient in BlueBeam and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiar with BOX, Dropbox, Autodesk Construction Cloud and project scheduling software.
• Ability to read civil/electrical/structural plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Procurement and Electrical Preconstruction Management with BOMs and RFQs for electrical components.
• Review contract documents for project requirements and compliance.
• Coordinate sourcing and procurement to meet schedules and budgets.
• Work with Engineering and Procurement to understand design constraints and lead times for long-lead items.
• Support the Construction Team in tracking EPC exhibits.
• Update project trackers and paperwork appropriately.
• Prepare and maintain submittals, RFIs, and daily reports.
• Code Accounts Payable workflows or verify codes as assigned.
