Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Part-Time Remote Electrical Product Inspector for Product Certification to join the Electrical team in North Carolina. This role conducts surveillance inspections at manufacturing facilities and requires travel up to 75% within the United States.

The position is remote, with payroll at $30–$42 per hour and no additional benefits due to part-time status. Applicants must reside in the United States, have a valid driver’s license, and possess experience in electrical testing

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic/electrical testing or quality/reliability testing, engineering, electrical inspection, manufacturing or quality control is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Ability to travel as business needs dictate, up to 75%.
• Remote work eligibility: must reside in the United States and be able to legally work.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct surveillance inspections in accordance with scheduling requirements.
• Document production and quality processes; review required production tests, equipment and calibration.
• Inspect ETL Listed products, subassemblies and components with respect to Certification Documents; review label inventory and non-conformities.
• Document compliance and non-compliance and advise clients on proper resolution.
• Submit Follow-up Service Inspection Reports for each client inspected.
• Communicate information between facility representatives and Intertek personnel.
• Maintain expenses within given guidelines.
• Perform other work as required.
