Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is staffing a remote-friendly Electrical Engineer for a 3–4 month engagement to support a leading AI lab’s GenAI team. You will tackle circuit design, power systems, and embedded hardware tasks, providing hands-on contributions and rigorous feedback to improve AI training data quality.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industry, strong tool fluency (SPICE, Cadence, Altium, KiCad, MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP), and excellent written communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on professional electrical engineering experience in industry (semiconductors, consumer electronics, power/utilities, aerospace/defense, automotive/EV, robotics, telecoms, medical devices).
• Ownership of real engineering work (designing/bringing up circuits or boards, SPICE simulations, power system specs, design reviews, validation, production).
• Proficiency with SPICE/LTspice, Cadence, Altium, KiCad, MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP and familiarity with IEEE/NEC/IPC/UL standards.
• Career progression toward senior/lead roles; PE license is a plus but not required.
• Experience with large language models in professional work and ability to judge correct vs plausible but incorrect answers.
• Available for at least 40 hours/week during weekdays.
• Excellent written communication to express complex technical decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Guide research and engineering teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in electrical engineering.
• Design challenging tasks and write reference solutions for electrical engineering problems.
• Evaluate electrical engineering tasks and model outputs with clear technical feedback.
• Develop rubrics to assess reasoning in analog/mixed-signal design, RF, PCB/board design, power distribution, signal processing, and controls.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training data accuracy and consistency.
