Job summary

KPA is seeking an EHS Risk Management Consultant to support environmental, health, and safety compliance for automotive clients. You will develop strong client relationships and minimize risk to increase profitability, delivering onsite audits and trainings with a professional, customer-service oriented demeanor.

This hybrid role is home-based with frequent travel to Bay Area client sites; you will manage OSHA, DOT, Fire Code, and EPA compliance activities while collaborating with client teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Safety Studies or related disciplines preferred.
• Minimum of three years of Environmental Health & Safety experience preferred.
• Must develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Strong communication skills that build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
• Effective report writing skills and ability to document and communicate via email, CRM, etc.
• Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and professionally deal with customers and external contacts to the Company.
• Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, presentations, Outlook.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
• Must be able to travel to client sites, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite field audits identifying unsafe and non-compliant situations related to OSHA, DOT, Fire Code, and EPA regulations with mitigation recommendations.
• Conduct employee trainings and moderate safety committee meetings.
• Build relationships with clients, auto dealer group management, and state dealer associations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor accident prevention programs and policies to maintain safe working conditions.
• Help communicate and implement environmental management compliance systems.
• Prepare compliance documentation such as Hazard Communications, Respiratory Protection, and EPA forms as needed.
