Job summary

AlphaGov seeks an experienced economic impact analyst to lead or support state/regulatory impact studies, including California-focused assessments. You will build transparent models (direct/indirect/induced effects) with documented assumptions and present policy-ready findings to agency sponsors.

Ideal candidates have hands-on I-O/REMI/IMPLAN modeling experience, a track record delivering reproducible methods, and comfort with 1099, project-based work and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Hands-on economic impact assessment and modeling delivery.
• Ability to produce reproducible methods with clear limitations.
• Policy-ready reporting suitable for agency stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support economic impact assessments for state agencies and regulators.
• Build transparent impact models (direct/indirect/induced; employment, output, tax, industry effects) with documented assumptions.
• Synthesize industry, labor, and administrative data; write policy-ready findings and recommendations.
• Present methods and results to agency sponsors and stakeholders.
• Contribute economic-impact content and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals (when permissioned).
