Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a remote Early Childhood Education Micro-credential adjunct faculty member to design and deliver a 4-week online micro-credential using Canvas. You will lead a virtual welcome session, respond to participant inquiries, monitor progress, and grade assignments to determine pass/fail, communicating with the Executive Director, Early Childhood Pathways & Initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must meet Program Standard for Ivy Tech's policy for Faculty Credential Standards.
• Knowledge of Indiana's early care and education landscape, including different auspice types and urban and rural settings.
• Expertise with children ages 0-5.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods (e.g. Canvas).
• Supplement and alter, where appropriate, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
• Engage with students proactively and, regularly in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and lead to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College.
• Demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning.
• Interact with students, co-workers, and supervisor in a professional and cooperative manner, complying with College policies, guidelines, and expectations.
• Maintain a safe, quality online educational environment.
