Job summary

Within Health is seeking a Primary Therapist for our telehealth PHP/IOP services. You will provide individual, family, and group therapy for clients with eating disorders, using evidence-based approaches.

Licensed Master’s level clinicians will coordinate care across teams and maintain confidential records in a remote setting. The role requires licensure in NY with willingness to obtain licensure in additional states.

Qualifications

• Minimum Master’s Degree in Psychology or Social Work; fully licensed and able to work independently.
• Able to obtain licensure in additional states as needed.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience treating eating disorders.
• Understanding various models/theories of eating disorders and trauma.
• Cultural competence and ability to work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive rapport with clients and families.
• Diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
• Create and update individualized treatment plans.
• Meet with clients regularly to provide services and adjust plans.
• Coordinate services needed for each client.
• Conduct ongoing progress assessments.
• Lead group therapy sessions per program schedule.
• Involve and advise family members when appropriate.
• Refer clients to outside specialists when necessary.
• Maintain thorough records and ensure confidentiality.
• Follow safety protocols and communicate with outpatient providers.
• Attend weekly staff and treatment team meetings.
• Develop weekly individualized therapeutic opportunities and communicate to patients.
• Conduct concurrent insurance reviews for clients.
• Engage in advocacy for mental health parity.
• Participate in community speaking to raise awareness.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
