Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a passionate Remote Early Childhood Educator to deliver high-quality online education from home, serving children in Paarl, Western Cape. The role emphasizes online pedagogy, strong communication with parents, and developmentally appropriate activities.

You will lead virtual lessons, track progress, and collaborate with a remote team to ensure a stimulating and safe learning environment for young children participating in activities from ZA.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in childcare or early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a remote or online capacity.
• Proficiency in using digital learning platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom, educational apps).
• Excellent understanding of child psychology, developmental stages, and age-appropriate learning strategies.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with young children and adults virtually.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging, curriculum-aligned online learning activities for young children.
• Conduct virtual sessions, including storytelling, interactive games, arts and crafts, and educational modules.
• Provide personalized support and guidance to children, addressing their individual learning needs and developmental milestones.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on child progress and offering resources for home-based learning.
• Utilize various digital tools and platforms to create an interactive and supportive virtual classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of children's progress, observations, and parent interactions.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and the management team to continuously improve program delivery and ensure a high standard of care.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating online learning environment for all children.
