Job summary

Provost and Pritchard Consulting Group is seeking an Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control Discipline Lead based in California. The role involves building and leading a group to design and construct water, agricultural and municipal projects, with site visits as needed.

The candidate should have a background in electrical or instrumentation and control, with 15+ years in related projects, and a PE license. Remote candidates who can visit sites may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
• 15 years of experience in electrical or instrumentation and control systems for agricultural, industrial, or municipal projects (groundwater wells, booster stations, water/wastewater plants).
• Professional Engineer license in Electrical Discipline.
• Familiarity with NFPA, IEEE, California Electrical Code, PG&E Greenbook, ISA.

Responsibilities

• Lead E&IC design teams during project execution, managing scope, schedule and budgets.
• Prepare contract documents including plans, specifications and opinions of probable construction cost.
• Perform Quality Control reviews.
• Develop design standards.
• Develop master specifications.
• Mentor junior E&IC staff and support project managers.
• Site observation during construction, startup, commissioning, and operation phases.
• Assist proposals by preparing scope, fee, and schedules.
