Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Parallon is seeking a work-from-home Inpatient Coding Auditor to perform internal quality assessments of coding across the Health Information Management Service Center (HSC). You will review outcomes to improve accuracy, integrity and data quality while ensuring compliance with national guidelines and Parallon's coding policies.

Applicants should have inpatient/outpatient coding experience, 3+ years coding auditing, and RHIA/RHIT/CCS credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Inpatient facility coding and DRG validation experience.
• Minimum 3 years acute care coding experience.
• Minimum 3 years coding auditing/monitoring experience.
• RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and perform quality reviews for inpatient and/or outpatient coding across multiple HSCs.
• Assist in ensuring coders adhere to guidelines and policy.
• Demonstrate expert level knowledge of medical coding practices.
• Participate in special reviews or projects.
• Maintain 95% productivity and 95% accuracy.
• Review data quality standards and clinical resources to stay current.
