Job summary

South College School of Physical Therapy in Knoxville, Tennessee invites applications for multiple Doctor of Physical Therapy Full-Time Faculty positions at Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Professor ranks. The program features blended learning with virtual components and on-site labs.

Candidates will have a doctoral degree, TN licensure eligibility, CAPTE experience, and at least five years of post-licensure clinical practice; travel to Knoxville is required for labs.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in a discipline appropriate for teaching responsibilities.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Tennessee or the state of residence.
• ABPTS specialization or advanced certification preferred.
• Minimum five years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice.
• Experience teaching in a CAPTE-accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate as faculty in developing assigned DPT courses.
• Develop distance education and onsite lab experiences to meet objectives.
• Assess student performance using traditional and nontraditional methods.
• Maintain records of student participation and grades.
• Provide timely academic feedback to students.
• Engage in course assessment activities and accreditation compliance.
• Participate in scholarly work and service within the department.
