Job summary

Cherokee Federal, the federal contracting division of Cherokee Nation Businesses, is seeking a Contact Center Agent to support FEMA’s disaster-assistance mission from a remote US location.

The role handles registrations, answers questions, provides referrals, and safeguards sensitive information while working from home. It requires US citizenship or permanent residency and data-entry during live calls, using FEMA systems and Windows applications.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible for FEMA/DHS suitability adjudication.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Strong English reading, writing and verbal communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a direct point of contact for disaster-impacted individuals seeking FEMA disaster assistance.
• Conduct scripted interviews and enter caller information into FEMA’s system while the survivor is on the call.
• Provide referrals to appropriate resources and support agencies.
• Meet quality and schedule-adherence expectations and participate in calls/assessments as assigned.
