Job summary

The Diocese of Phoenix Diocesan Pastoral Center seeks an experienced Catholic ministry consultant to establish a sustainable disability ministry support system for parishes and families. You will assess needs, propose a strategic framework, and develop parish resources and formation.

Work with the Office of Evangelization, Discipleship and Spirituality to pilot activities, gather feedback, and prepare staff for ongoing oversight and long-term success.

Qualifications

• Active, practicing Catholic in good standing with knowledge of Catholic theology and parish life.
• Experience with disability ministry, inclusion or related pastoral support.
• Experience conducting needs assessments, facilitating stakeholders and developing plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diocesan and parish needs assessment through document review and interviews.
• Develop strategic plan, governance model, and phased rollout for disability ministry.
• Recommend sustainable structure for diocesan advisory committee.
• Design scalable parish liaison/advocate model and create tools.
• Create formation resources on welcome, belonging, accessibility, catechesis.
• Support pilots with parishes and refine model via feedback.
• Prepare sustainability plan for ongoing diocesan oversight.
• Provide updates to diocesan leadership and related tasks.
