Position Title: DIRECTOR OF SOLUTIONS SUPPLY CHAIN STRATEGY

Salary: $145,000

Travel: 50%

Pay Grade: 18

Job Summary

We seek an innovative, results-oriented leader responsible for end-to-end delivery of successful supply chain solutions for business development. While ESFM self-performs most services, some are subcontracted, including janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, waste removal, technical services, etc. The role involves renewing and expanding existing business and developing multiple large-scale, multi-service proposals simultaneously. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, client-facing leader who will collaborate with sales, subject matter experts, operational leaders, and executive leadership to deliver compelling proposals that support ESFM’s growth strategy.

The candidate should possess strong project management and prioritization skills, excellent attention to detail, strategic judgment, and effective decision-making. They must be a proactive problem solver with strong client-facing presentation and conversational skills, capable of articulating complex topics to diverse audiences. Experience in developing supply chain and sourcing solutions, pricing, and savings plans is essential, along with knowledge of facility management products and services including maintenance, janitorial, grounds, mail, waste management, and workplace experience.

Key Responsibilities include

  1. Anticipated travel at least 50%
  2. Creating tailored proposals leveraging ESFM’s supply chain and category management expertise, including subcontracted services.
  3. Reviewing client RFPs including spend, scope, and SLA information
  4. Participating in opportunity assessments
  5. Developing strategies aligned with client goals and objectives
  6. Collaborating to develop comprehensive supply chain strategies, including sourcing categories, savings, service improvements, and transition plans
  7. Vetting plans with operational, procurement, sales, transition, and commercial leaders
  8. Communicating solutions via proposals, Q&A, and presentations
  9. Developing and owning achievable financial and service commitments
  10. Working with strategic suppliers and vendors to confirm cost and quality commitments
  11. Adapting strategies as new information emerges
  12. Influencing strategies to win in partnership with self-performed services
  13. Maintaining communication with procurement mobilization to ensure resource alignment
  14. Contributing to industry benchmarks to enhance proposal competitiveness
  15. Leveraging data and analytical skills to interpret large data sets and tell a story with numbers
  16. Conducting on-site data collection at client facilities as needed

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field from a four-year college/university. Minimum of 5-10 years of related experience, including at least five years in supply chain management or procurement of facility management services and supplies.

Communication Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to provide efficient, reliable, and courteous service. Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to sensitive issues.

Financial Knowledge

Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles, including calculating percentages, discounts, and conducting financial analysis.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to analyze and interpret complex documents, solve problems involving multiple options, and apply advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

Other Skills/Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent Excel skills required.
