Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Director, Process Chemistry in API Development to lead API/Intermediate/RSM manufacturing at CMOs, directing synthesis route development, process optimization, tech transfer, and process validation for clinical and commercial supply.

You will oversee CMO operations, collaborate with R&D on lead optimization, and guide process characterization and regulatory filings in a regulated environment, with potential remote work and ~travel.

Qualifications

• PhD in Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years in API process development.
• Experience leading development teams and managing CMO operations in regulated environments.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CMO operations and external manufacturing for APIs.
• Collaborate with R&D on lead optimization and scale-up.
• Manage tech transfer and process improvements.
• Provide technical review of quality documentation.
• Lead process characterization efforts.
