Job summary

Society Insurance seeks a Director - Accounting & Controllerto join our Accounting and Financial Planning team. This role ensures the integrity of statutory and financial reporting, oversees internal controls, and aligns controllership with governance expectations. It leads audits, cash management, and process improvements.

You will manage close processes, tax reporting, and provide insights to support strategic decisions, compliance with SAP and US GAAP, and effective financial governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years progressive experience in accounting/finance with leadership.
• Property and casualty insurance industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of people leadership in accounting/financial reporting.
• Knowledge of SAP and US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Directs accounting operations: financial statements, GL, statutory reporting, close processes, tax reporting.
• Designs and monitors internal controls over financial reporting; remediate deficiencies.
• Lead internal and external audits; liaise with regulators and auditors.
• Oversee cash management, liquidity monitoring, banking relationships.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and system integrations.
