Job summary

NIRH is seeking a Director of Network Communications Strategy to develop strategic communications and narrative architecture aligned with policy priorities. You will support both funded and unfunded partners, collaborating across the organization to integrate campaigns and partnerships with broader goals.

You will lead partner-facing messaging, provide technical assistance, and help shape collateral and field tools. This is a fully remote role with potential travel to NYC.

Qualifications

• 7+ years proven experience in messaging, press, and digital campaigns.
• Understanding of policy communications.
• Advocacy communications experience, with campaign communications experience and reproductive rights, health, or justice communications experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Co-design communications campaigns around public funding for abortion coverage, Birth Justice, data privacy in reproductive health care, and other core NIRH issues.
• Develop communications and narrative strategy and planning to advance overall campaign goals and integrate strategies into campaigns early.
• Lead partner-facing campaign messaging and ensure alignment with NIRH’s communications efforts.
• Develop and implement robust communications plans for partnerships, including TA for partners and alignment with department goals.
• Represent NIRH and NIRH-AF in relationships with national partners, coalitions, and at conferences.
