Job summary

Equality Health is seeking a Director of Medical Economics to act as the dedicated analytic partner to the VP, VBC Impact & Strategy. This role will develop analyses and evidence to assess value-based care impact across clinical, financial, operational, quality, utilization, patient, and equity outcomes and inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in medical economics, healthcare analytics, actuarial analysis, outcomes research, population health, value-based care, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of VBC programs, healthcare claims, clinical, financial, quality, and operational data and their use in evaluating healthcare performance.
• Mastery of causal inference and quasi-experimental study design.
• Experience with attribution, risk adjustment, benchmarking, trend, program evaluation, and financial impact measurement.
• Demonstrated ability to execute rigorous analyses, explain methods and limitations, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Translate analytic plans into rigorous analyses for impact assessment.
• Develop and execute analyses across clinical, financial, operational, quality, utilization, and equity metrics.
• Apply attribution, risk adjustment, benchmarking, trend analyses, cohort comparisons, and program evaluation.
• Identify drivers of cost, utilization, quality, outcomes; present findings for strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and ensure data quality.
• Deliver clear analytic exhibits and supporting materials for stakeholders.
