Job summary

BioTalent seeks an Account Director, Medical Communications, remote in the US, to lead a portfolio of Commercial P2P and Medical Affairs accounts with senior clients. You will shape client strategy, review content with scientific leads, and drive growth while managing budgets and forecasting.

You will line-manage teams, partner with leadership on resourcing, and ensure regulatory compliance across MLR/PRC/MRC. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of client services experience at a medical communications agency.
• Senior-level account leadership experience is required.
• Content ownership: partnering with writers and scientific leads.
• Hands-on portfolio financials: forecasting and KPIs.
• Experience leading pitches and growing accounts.
• Stable career history with progressive growth in scope.
• Experience managing and developing teams (including multiple levels).
• Strong understanding of pharma regulations, MLR/PRC/MRC.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of Commercial P2P and/or Medical Affairs accounts with senior clients.
• Develop client strategy and tactical plans with Scientific Leads.
• Review content and provide sign-off with scientific leads.
• Escalation point to resolve client concerns and protect account health.
• Provide senior onsite support for advisory boards, symposia, and workshops.
• Own account financials: forecasting, revenue targets, billability, and recovery.
• Build relationships with client procurement and support MSA negotiations.
• Drive organic growth and lead new business pitches and proposals.
• Line manage and develop multiple team members at varying levels.
