Job summary

Deckers Brands is seeking a Director of Data Architecture, remote in the United States, to define and evolve enterprise data architecture and standards. You will lead domain-aligned data structures, drive adoption, and partner with engineering, analytics, governance, and business teams.

You will mentor a team of data architects, shape data products, and ensure scalable, interoperable data flows across analytics, AI, and reporting initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Significant experience designing architecture in cloud-based data ecosystems.
• Experience with data cataloging, metadata management, and lineage.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve enterprise data architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures.
• Lead conceptual, logical, and physical data structures with shared semantics.
• Establish domain-oriented architecture patterns for reusable data products.
• Support both batch and streaming workloads including event-driven designs.
• Partner with data engineering to implement scalable cloud data platforms on AWS.
• Maintain architecture artifacts, metadata, and documentation.
• Lead architecture reviews and enable workshops with stakeholders.
• Mentor a team of data architects and drive outcomes.
