Job summary

Active Minds, Inc. offers a Digital Media Internship within the Marketing and Communications team, focusing on creating and editing video content for social platforms. Interns gain exposure to nonprofit digital marketing, brand storytelling, and audience engagement while contributing to meaningful campaigns.

The Spring 2027 internship is remote, with a February 1–April 23 window. It requires US residency, 20 hours per week, and a schedule between 9:00am–5:00pm EST, paid at $18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passion and experience in social media with video editing.
• Experience with Canva or similar graphic design software.
• Strong video editing, storytelling, and communications skills.
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar).
• Interest in video filming, editing, and being on-camera.
• Strong writing and communications skills.
• Detail-oriented & creative thinker.
• Team player with a willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace, Zoom, and Dropbox.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and publish short- and long-form video content for social media and digital channels.
• Assist with content planning, development, and execution across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook.
• Support video production efforts, including filming, editing, captioning, and optimizing content for various audiences and platforms.
• Collaborate with staff across departments to identify and develop stories that highlight Active Minds programs, events, and impact.
• Assist with graphic design and content creation using Canva and other creative tools.
• Monitor social media trends, emerging platforms, and content best practices to inform content development.
• Support community engagement efforts by helping manage comments, messages, and audience interactions.
• Assist with content organization, asset management, and other marketing and communications projects as needed
