Job summary

Element 84 is seeking a talented digital and interactive developer to support federal clients on cloud-based geospatial data processing and visualization projects. The role focuses on translating complex science into clear, audience-appropriate content for NASA, NOAA, and USGS programs.

This position is fully remote within the United States. You will lead newsletters, web stories, and multimedia, coordinate communications, maintain branding, and collaborate with subject-matter experts to advance

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a communications role (specialist or equivalent).
• Experience creating and publishing multimedia content for web and social media.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva for graphics and visuals.
• Experience developing and executing digital campaigns to increase engagement.
• Experience using analytics, user feedback, and market research to optimize content.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into accessible content.
• Ability to work in a small team, collaborating with experts and stakeholders.
• Continuous improvement mindset; bring new ideas to the team.
• Strong written communication and ability to work in a remote environment.
• Energetic, self-motivated, team player.

Responsibilities

• Execute social media strategy through planning, campaigns, publishing, monitoring, engagement, and measurement.
• Develop newsletters, announcements, web stories, outreach materials, presentations, graphics, infographics, short videos, and other multimedia.
• Translate complex EPIC/UFS science and technology into clear, audience-appropriate content.
• Maintain consistent EPIC/UFS/NOAA branding and editorial quality.
• Support education, outreach, events, software releases, milestones, and community opportunities with coordinated communications products.
• Quality control of deliverables.
• Manage stakeholder engagement workflows, feedback processes, approvals, and reporting.
