Job summary

The Sergeant at Arms of the United States Senate is seeking a Digital Communications Specialist to manage and improve digital content across Senate platforms. You will write, edit, publish, organize, and publish content with a focus on accessibility and user experience, using SharePoint and intranet sites.

Ideal candidates are strong writers with editorial judgment, experience in web content management, analytics, and governance, and a track record of delivering clear, accurate digital content

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; 5–7 years relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with ability to translate complex info for non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing content in SharePoint or CMS and applying web analytics.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, publish, and maintain accessible content for SAA digital platforms.
• Develop content strategies, governance, and publishing workflows.
• Organize information architecture and metadata to improve usability.
• Collaborate with divisions to publish information and advise on digital publishing standards.
• Use analytics to evaluate content performance and recommend improvements.
• Support other Communications staff as needed.
