ADA Digital Compliance Advisor (Advisory + Hands-On Technical/Digital Accessibility)

Location: Fully Remote

Ad-hoc consulting - on demand needs; goal is to scale to 40 hours/week

We are seeking an experienced ADA Compliance Advisor who brings both strategic advisory expertise and hands-on technical capability. This individual will work directly with customers to assess accessibility gaps, provide actionable recommendations, and actively support remediation efforts.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of compliance consulting and execution - someone who can clearly explain accessibility requirements to stakeholders while also implementing technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on ADA compliance and digital accessibility best practices
• Conduct accessibility audits aligned with WCAG 2.1/2.2 standards
• Identify compliance gaps across websites, applications, and digital platforms
• Deliver detailed findings reports with prioritized remediation plans
• Partner with UX, development, and product teams to implement fixes
• Perform manual and automated accessibility testing (screen readers, keyboard navigation, color contrast, etc.)
• Support VPAT documentation and accessibility statements
• Provide ongoing guidance to ensure sustained compliance

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in ADA compliance and digital accessibility
• Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and ADA Title II/III
• Experience advising external clients or customers in a consulting capacity
• Proficiency with accessibility testing tools such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, Axe, WAVE, etc.
• Ability to translate compliance requirements into clear, business-friendly guidance
• Experience collaborating with designers, developers, and executive stakeholders
