Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist to support a single high school student for the 2026/2027 school year. This contract role offers a flexible, fully virtual schedule and a light caseload, focused on individualized instruction and advocacy to help the student succeed academically.

The candidate should hold DHH licensure, have HS experience, and be able to implement IEPs while collaborating with families and school teams in a virtual setting.

Qualifications

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) or Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist.
• Experience working with high school students in educational settings.
• Knowledge of assistive technologies for DHH students.
• Ability to develop, adapt, and implement IEPs.
• Strong virtual communication skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction for one high school student requiring DHH services.
• Collaborate with school teams, families, and service providers to coordinate interventions.
• Deliver instruction virtually with regular communication and feedback.
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary.
• Maintain documentation and participate in IEP meetings.
• Promote self-advocacy and independence for the student within the academic setting.
