Job summary

Serco is seeking an Experienced DevSecOps Engineer for a 100% remote role. The candidate will weave security into the DevOps lifecycle, leveraging Azure, Terraform or CloudFormation, and modern CI/CD tools to deliver secure software at scale.

You will design secure pipelines, integrate SAST/DAST and container scanning, and collaborate across teams. Expect to automate infrastructure, monitor for threats, and stay ahead of evolving security practices while traveling up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, Software Engineering, or Cloud Engineering.
• Proficiency with Azure and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (CONUS).
• U.S. Citizenship is required; ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate security tools and practices into development and deployment workflows (SAST, DAST, container scanning).
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure secure software delivery.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and respond to incidents.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing systems.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices.
